Outrage Over Rodent Infestation in Frozen Food Storage
A recent video from a quick-commerce provider’s fulfillment unit in Kalyan’s Godrej Hill area has raised alarm among local residents. The footage shows rodents scurrying around frozen food items, prompting serious concerns about hygiene and food safety standards at such facilities.
In response to the disturbing images, residents have called on the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and municipal authorities to perform an immediate inspection of the site. They demand accountability and action if any violations are discovered.
This incident occurs against a backdrop of heightened scrutiny of food establishments across Maharashtra, as authorities work to ensure compliance with health regulations.
During the inspection, officials found food being improperly stored, with some items kept on contaminated racks or directly on the floor.
