New Delhi: The Mumbai police have arrested the managing director of Gurugram-based Orris Infrastructure in a case filed by Godrej Properties over alleged unauthorised changes to the records of a real estate partnership associated with the Godrej Air project. The FIR includes charges of forgery, cheating, criminal breach of trust and criminal conspiracy.

These include sections dealing with forgery, forgery of valuable security, possession and use of forged documents, cheating, cheating by personation, criminal breach of trust, criminal conspiracy and acts carried out in furtherance of common intention. Gupta is also named in a separate case registered by the Gurugram police in July over a land collaboration dispute. Amit Gupta was arrested in Amritsar in connection with an FIR registered at Mumbai’s Vikhroli police station on March 17. A police official said the accused was produced before a court and sent to police custody until August 27. The police case invokes several provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.
A senior Gurugram police officer said the police were seeking Gupta’s arrest in the case registered at Kherki Daula police station. The Gurugram police said the allegations were being verified as part of the investigation.
