Custody status : The court granted a one-day police custody remand to allow investigators to question the accused regarding his public statements and actions. Security tightening : Security outside the Parliament Street police station was heavily reinforced with barricades and paramilitary deployments after Bhardwaj’s supporters threatened to gather for counter-demonstrations. Additional provisions : Delhi Police incorporated sections of the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, criminal intimidation, and relevant BNS provisions after an interview surfaced wherein Bhardwaj boasted about assaulting the victim.
