A heartwarming moment took place after the conclusion of the three-match T20I series between India and Afghanistan, as the teams stood by the series’ ‘Friendship Cup’ tag. In a video that has gone viral on social media, Shreyas and a number of other Indian players can be seen asking Zadran to join them in the photo. The post-match gesture comes after a landmark series, in which Afghanistan hosted India on Indian soil.
Despite beating Afghanistan 3-0, India captain Shreyas Iyer invited opposition skipper Ibrahim Zadran to stand with the Indian team while they clicked photos with the trophy.
The opener smashed nine fours and 11 sixes, reaching his half-century in just 16 balls before completing his third T20I century in 31 balls, becoming the fastest batter from a Test-playing nation to score a T20I hundred and surpassing Rohit Sharma’s previous Indian record of 35 balls.

If we want to improve our level, though, we need to play against the biggest teams,” the Afghanistan skipper concluded.
