Flight operations across Delhi NCR faced severe delays on Monday as heavy rainfall and bad weather hit the capital region. With several arrivals and departures impacted, major airlines, including Air India, IndiGo, SpiceJet and Akasa Air, have urged passengers to track their flight status in real time.
Air India said bad weather could affect flights to and from Delhi and asked passengers to check the latest flight information before travelling.
In a post on X, Air India said, “Adverse weather conditions may impact flight operations to and from Delhi today. If you’re travelling today, we recommend checking your flight status on our website or app before leaving for the airport. To ensure a smooth travel experience, we encourage our passengers to check the latest flight status at the following link before heading to the airport. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. IndiGo also warned passengers that bad weather over Delhi had affected its flight schedules. We are closely monitoring the weather and doing our best to get you where you need to be, safely and smoothly. Please also allow for additional travel time, as road conditions may be slower than usual. We appreciate your continued patience and understanding. Your comfort and safety remain our top priority. Passengers are requested to check their flight status.
In a post on X, SpiceJet said, “Due to bad weather in Delhi (DEL), all departures/arrivals and their consequential flights might be affected.
The airline said it was monitoring the weather and working to keep operations running safely. In a post on X, IndiGo said, “Bad weather over #Delhi has impacted flight schedules. SpiceJet said bad weather in Delhi could affect arrivals, departures and connected flights across its network. Akasa Air also said severe weather in Delhi had affected some flights across its network.
