The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) acted quickly to locate a passenger after a complaint was filed regarding the theft of sunglasses valued at approximately Rs 15,000. The incident took place at a retail outlet within the Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA).

Theft Incident at Airport Resolved Quickly

On August 24, 2026, at approximately 4:30 am, a theft was reported by the manager of the retail outlet M/s Vue De Luxe at the airport. The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel on duty promptly intervened by intercepting the suspect. Following questioning, the passenger admitted to the theft and reimbursed the cost of the stolen item, allowing for a swift resolution to the situation. The store manager commended the CISF for their quick response, alertness, and professionalism in protecting the airport’s commercial areas.

Acting swiftly, the CISF surveillance team reviewed CCTV footage covering the outlet and the adjacent concourse areas. Through coordinated efforts and meticulous tracking, the personnel mapped the suspect’s movements, established the sequence of events and successfully identified the passenger.
