A 47-year-old man died during treatment after he was allegedly assaulted by a group of youths for objecting to a person urinating on the road in the Kakadev police station area in Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur.
According to the police, Amit Kumar had objected to someone allegedly urinating in the middle of the road, following which a group of youths surrounded and assaulted him.
It was reported that he had sustained injuries in an accident. “Detailed questioning revealed that he had been involved in a dispute or altercation with certain individuals. As per police, the entire incident was captured on a CCTV camera installed near the scene.
Speaking to ANI, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central) Atul Srivastava said that late at night on September 5, a man named Amit Kumar was admitted to the hospital by his family members in an injured state. “Amit Kumar passed away during treatment on September 7.
