In a tragic incident, the 12-year-old daughter of NCP (SP) MLA Rohit Pawar’s personal assistant Ajit Dashavatare was found dead near her home in Sai Ganesh Nagar in Rui, Baramati, on Sunday.
Police examine all possible angles
The girl was found near her residence in the Sai Ganesh Nagar area of Rui village in Baramati tehsil, Pune district, on Sunday morning. The family had approached the police after she went missing the previous night. When she did not return, the family filed a missing-person complaint with the police. The circumstances leading to her death have not yet been established. Police have not yet determined the cause of death. Officials are waiting for the post-mortem findings and are examining evidence from the area. CCTV footage is also being checked as part of the investigation. He added that he has asked the Deputy Superintendent of Police to conduct a proper investigation.
Her body was found at around 8.30 am.
Reports said the girl had left home after a minor argument with her mother. Pawar said the victim’s family wants justice.
