Governments should not lurch from one election to the next but work on a long-term strategy, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav told the NDTV Conclave at Bhopal today. Yadav said since 2014, Madhya Pradesh has benefited from the double-engine government. His government, he said, has provided permanent jobs to 85,000 people so far. Approximately 12 million people have also been employed in the non-government sector, according to the Chief Minister.

The Chief Minister said his state has the lowest unemployment rate in the country. He also said government jobs alone will not solve the problem. His government, he said, aims to empower youth to become job creators, not job seekers.
Under PM Modi’s leadership, many tasks previously considered difficult have become possible.
On the issue of OBC reservations, the Chief Minister said the Opposition was spreading misinformation and 14 of the 27 per cent reservation is being implemented.
The rest, he said, is under judicial proceedings.
