Shai Hope was at the forefront of another historic West Indies win, as he smashed a 102 off 45 balls to take his team to victory over India in the second T20I in Ranchi on Friday. West Indies pulled off their highest successful chase in T20I cricket, hunting down a target of 250 with more than an over to spare. Hope smashed the second-fastest T20I hundred by a West Indies player, surpassing Chris Gayle’s 47-ball ton in the record books. Only Johnson Charles (39 balls) has hit a faster T20I ton than Hope for the Windies.
