The 10th edition of the Women’s Asia Cup is set to begin in the United Arab Emirates on August 28, with eight teams competing for the continental title. The tournament will be played in the T20I format, with all 15 matches scheduled at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
India, meanwhile, are the most successful team in Women’s Asia Cup history, having won the title seven times. Each team will play three group-stage matches. Sri Lanka enter the tournament as the defending champions after winning the 2024 edition on home soil. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals, with the winners of the two semi-finals progressing to the final on September 13. India will then face Hong Kong, China on September 3 before taking on Pakistan on September 5 in their final group-stage match. The tournament opener will see Thailand take on Hong Kong, China on August 28, while the final is scheduled for September 13. Indonesia’s final 15-member squad has not been announced yet.
