Ayesha Gilamana, a Pakistani TikTok star also known as Shamso Bibi, was shot and killed on August 14, 2026. The incident occurred when two assailants on a motorcycle ambushed her vehicle near a local market in Taxila, close to Islamabad. The attackers opened fire, striking her in the neck. In response to the shooting, police have initiated murder charges against the suspects involved.
Four suspects arrested by police as family demands justice
At least four suspects have been arrested by the Punjab Police, with two being charged with helping the assailant escape. Bibi’s brother Niamatullah issued an appeal to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif to take swift action in dealing with the culprits. Bibi’s family has already deleted her popular social media accounts, which had more than 30 million likes and 1.3 million followers.
Bibi’s father, Fazal Sahibzada, says that his daughter received a threatening call, requesting her to step outside her residence before the ambush, according to the report by the police.
