A six-year-old boy, identified as Pranay Teja, died on Thursday at Little Garden School in One Town, Visakhapatnam. Reports indicate that he collapsed in the classroom after allegedly being beaten by a teacher due to incomplete homework. Emergency services were called, and Pranay was transported to King George Hospital (KGH), where he was pronounced dead by medical staff. This incident has sparked outrage and raised serious questions about the safety and treatment of students in educational institutions.
CCTV footage reveals attack; family demands justice
The father of the victim revealed that the child was perfectly healthy at home and had gone to the school for the examinations. No health problems before going to school : The family categorically denied any pre-existing health problems with the boy and confirmed that the child had neither fever nor any other health problems before going to the school. Family members complained that school authorities did not immediately communicate with them, and only local cooks informed the family of the situation several hours later.
Government orders high-level investigation and teacher sensitisation
The Andhra Pradesh School Education Department termed the incident as very tragic and immediately ordered an inquiry into the administration of the school.
