A tragic incident occurred on Wednesday near Tikri Kalan Metro Station in Outer Delhi, where a CNG cylinder explosion resulted in the deaths of two individuals and left six others injured. The explosion took place while the cylinder was being filled at a nearby fuel station. The victims have been identified as 25-year-old Manish from Baba Haridas Colony in West Delhi and 32-year-old Sunny Nizampur. Emergency services were promptly dispatched to the scene to assist the injured and investigate the circumstances surrounding the explosion.
Large teams of police and fire personnel were deployed in the area soon after the blast was reported. The injured were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The DFS received a call about the explosion at around 3:37 pm, following which six fire tenders were rushed to the spot.
Delhi Fire Services (DFS) officials said all six injured people were in critical condition. The death toll is also expected to rise, officials said.
